The Legacy at Midtown Park in Dallas has been featured in EFA’s Design Showcase. Published each year in the Spring issue of Environments for Aging, the EFA Design Showcase is a compilation of architecture and interior design projects representing outstanding innovative design solutions in new or renovated senior care environments across the nation.
Located within a new planned development and designed in the spirit promoting walkability and social gatherings, The Legacy at Midtown Park will be an urban, contemporary community situated on ten acres. Offering a full continuum of care, The Legacy Midtown Park will consist of independent living apartments in an eight-story building over two levels of parking, a three-story assisted living building with memory support suites on the third level, and a three-story skilled nursing building. The campus will include an elegant sanctuary and auditorium, several fine and casual dining venues, including a pub and bistro, expanded kitchens to incorporate a Kosher dining experience, fully-equipped fitness and aerobics center, aquatic center, library and computer center, activity rooms, gardens, patios, and a dog park all within a gated, secure environment.
In addition to this wide array of amenities, the community will be able to take full advantage of its close proximity to area hospitals, medical buildings, synagogues, movie theaters, cultural venues, restaurants, hotels, and public transportation.
Anticipated groundbreaking is in June 2018 – starting with the construction of the skilled nursing building. At the same time, site work will take place preparing the site for the campus and successive construction will begin on the remaining buildings. The skilled nursing building has an estimated 15-month construction schedule and will open in the fall of 2019 followed by the rest of the community opening in 2020.
