D2 Architecture’s Grant Warner to Speak at LeadingAge Texas 2015 Annual Meeting

Grant Warner, Principal, along with Patrick Crump, VP – Operations, Buckner Retirement Services and Debbie Wiegand, Project Guide, The Greenhouse Project, will present Small House-Style Care. Small house-style care provides a more residential, home-like, family-oriented environment for both residents and staff. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) have acknowledged the advantages of this type of care and have provided avenues for implementation in Texas.  The presentation will provide an overview of the small house model and discuss the potential for implementing the concept fully or as your needs and capacity dictate.

LeadingAge Texas’ Annual Meeting will be held in Austin on May 17-20, 2015. LeadingAge Texas (formerly the Texas Association of Homes and Services for the Aging – TAHSA) was established in 1959 to provide leadership, advocacy, and education for not-for-profit retirement housing and nursing home communities that serve the needs of Texas retirees.
